16. then attacking the king with one of the rooks and the king moving to e7. Im not going any deeper than that. Pretty complicated line. but looks like black is ok if he knows 16 plus moves of theory! Lol.

I didn't even know much about the Scotch but I have all moves of what we are looking into in my mind. I think I only memorised the first 6 moves or so all other moves just make sense... It's wierd to explain but I think I could go into a game and pretty much blitz the first 16-18 moves of what we are considering right now...

It looks like Black can hold though the onus of accuracy is on him. I play the Scotch frequently; might give this line a whirl as the standard ones aren't as lively.
I don't see any lines that give either side a clear advantage. However, after 7... Qh4+ 8.g3, I have a slight personal preference for Qxe4 rather than Qd8. Maybe it's because Black keeps his queen active and maintains some pressure on the White position.

I'd agree. In an OTB game at club level, I think Black is more likely than White to go wrong in this line. Partly why I'm going for Qxe4 instead of Qd8, but I'm not claiming a big objective advantage with this choice.
