Oh yes. They run the gamut.

That's an old list. Haluk Beyenal was higher rated when I drew him, and Michael Jensen lower when I beat him. Seems like I beat Doug Hansen once, but that was quite few years ago.

I need to get over to Seattle in the next two months sometime for a Saturday, but am not certain when. cguy is at UW AKAIK. bbarr used to be there, but I don't know if he still is. If you can get to Crossroads mall, you'll find chess players.

Well, you should try and do it this saturday if you want to meet up 🙂

I don't think crossroads mall is possible.
I'd really like to play someone from RHP.
So hopefully thats possible.

I don't know if you want to drive a bit or not, but the Tacoma chess club has USCF rated games on friday nights

Looks like its G30 tonight. I live in the area but unfortunately I am busy tonight. Another possibility is going to Crossroads Mall in Bellevue. They have a chess set that is big enough you play on a huge board on the floor. It always attracts chess players on friday nights. You can play regular chess or blitz is that is your poison as well. Here are directions to the mall:

One of my college chums was online on Facebook this morning. He lives in Seattle, but I don't think he's a chess player. The chess players that I know in Seattle are probably at Crossroads Mall if they are playing chess today, or they are at one of the many scholastic events. I know there is a big one in Tacoma today.

Looks like I was mistaken. The Tacoma tourney is next Saturday. Today, there's a G/60 in Bellevue, though, for youth and adults.

Perhaps I misread the TA. I thought it said Open as in adults, but I don't see that now.

Better just take a chess set to the pub, unless you can find your way to Crossroads Mall.

Sorry that I'm not over there to help you out.

don't have a chess set with me, or thats what I'd do.
I'll have to see if any buses go to the crossroads mall.

Although, I was really looking forward to meeting an RHP player.
I can play chess on blitz here...more games...faster...

I've been here several days now. 0 Offers on a game.
Are people scared of meeting people from the interweb or something?

Seriously, we're all grown ups, we should be able to play some chess
if I'm in your town. I'm kind of ashamed that nobody is willing to group up and play a few games in the Seattle area. I've certainly heard players state that their from this area previously.

I heard it snowed there. Folks in Seattle do not know how to drive in snow.
