I've seen a lot of player's play it at 2200 level otb
I've seen a few games of the top players playing it ocasionally.
it seems prety good to me if you know it (just like any other opening, can be played if you know enough about it)
a friend of mine plays birds opening, he is rated 1500 OTB aprox, he has a few wins and drawas with 2000 + players with the opening as he knows almost every line and has played it so much.
(if i tried it against a 1400 player, i'd be in trouble prety quick as i don't know what to do)

One of the great things about it is that its relatively easy to learn the different lines, as there aren't that many.
