another case of pawn blindness for me also. :-/ I've been battling it almost a year now, but I still miss simple, obvious pawn moves...

I sort of got this but in my opinion it's definetely not for beginners. (though it actually depends on who you call a beginner)

I had a game about a month ago which seem somewhat similar to your idea here. Game 3054416

Though it ended in a slightly different position,
it could have contained the same queen sac
(26.Qg3+ instead of 26.Bg1+) with a check
but I chose another way to finish.
