So I am playing this guy and he was trying to put me off and said "do you think you can take me? Do you want a piece?"
Ironically this was just at the point of the game I won a piece - pretty good timing eh?

The silence after an incident like that is immensely satisfying. Don't lose though. 😀

Sometimes a little more thought, and a little less bravado would be wise. I hope you win!😏

I walked into a OTB tourny once and as luck would have it my 1st game I was black against an unrated player. the game went like this
1. e4 e5
2. qh5

He triumphiantly slamed his queen on the h5 square and proclaimed to me "you might as well resign now."

and then, while you were laughing at this, you accidentally brushed your pawn up to g6?😀

And being too confident in his ability, he take the g6 pawn instead of the e4 for you to play an illegal move and lose in a blitz..

One must be crazy for this.

The irony is only in the fact that you've missed the point of his message.

I recently played a guy who was up a knight on move 42 and insisted I resign because he guaranteed he would win. But the endgame was tricky and complicated, requiring great precision. After long drawn-out maneuvers, I got a draw on move 74. Very satisfying!

I have a game where I incorrectly sac'd 2 minor's due to a miscalculation in where a piece I previously had, was on the board @ home vs the board online.

However, its looking sharp enough I may sneak away with something 🙂

I dont think he was intending for himself to lose material, it was just the choice of phrase he chose which made this little sketch so humorous. If you watch something like WWE you will know that phrases such as those are quite comonly used to start trouble.

WWE LOL

How did pro wrestling end up in a chess forum?

By the way, WWF is what it is !!! The best times of wrestling were when WWF and WCW were at war with each other over fans. 🙂
