Not too sure what it's like on the Planet Robbie but on Earth Jeffrey Xiong
did not play in the recent Sinquefield Cup and he has never played Aronian.
Yes it was not Jeffery but Liren Ding. I am sure someone played a gambit against him as black but he did not take it because it was clearly home cooked preparation. Then again it might have been someone else, but it was definitely Aronian with the black pieces. I have saw Jeffery walk into Nakamura preparation though. Indeed here is the game, Nakamura v Xiong after which Nakamura stated that he had prepared this because one of his seconds knows Jeffreys repertoire well because they come from the same place in Dallas.
