Hit the damn enter button to quick.
Look Baron...I think you are full of crap...you come out here claimimg
to be god...yet I think you are just a program user.
At least I have earned my spot fair and square.
And as for being a "lightweight"...at least I am not intellectual one as
you are.
I said I was not going to talk about this idiot...but calling me that was
just enough to piss me off.

All I know about it is that it is very passive and not
too "ambitious"...but if you know it very well then that is probably why
it works for you.
Originally posted by SchliemannThere is something wrong with the RHP Games Explorer in this line. After 4.dxe5 fxe4 the screen incorrectly shows a Black pawn on d5 and a White pawn on e4 when it should be the other way around. This is in the Master games database.
Seems I am the only one that plays this line on a regular basis here.
1.e4 e5
2.Nf3 d6
3.d4 f5

Specifically, search for positions matching the first three moves with both players rated 2200+. There are six games, of which two are wins for White, one a Black win, and three draws. All of the positions are extremely dynamic. A mistake by either side could easily lose the game.

LOL, that is anything BUT passive. The Philidor usually is a bit passive but not like this. Black is aiming for a mating kingside attack on the third move! On the other hand, one has to think if it's wise trying to attack White so early- especially without having developed any pieces. And of course, sometimes Black may wish his pawn was back on f7 to protect his own king. Still, it's probably quite obscure and sound enough to be used in blitz. I'll try it sometime.
EDIT: I didn't realize this was a zombie thread. It's really old.

Dutch Defense found it.
That is why i refuse to take on the nick "Schliemann" ever again.
I can spend all day apologizing to whoever i offended back then and it probably will not make it right.
But I am truly sorry
