You were caught lying about another poster's statements on a different thread. You're in no position to criticize anyone.
"Alekhine and Tal, were known as heavy drinkers".
That was my main point, that there have been very successful grandmasters who were drinkers. So one shouldn't be so easily dismissive of the character from "Queens Gambit" simply because a drinking problem was shown.
As usual, Vivify hurls insults and lies in attempting to divert attention from his blatant errors or lies.
"Above is a list of grandmasters who were alcoholics …"

Extremely disingenuous and misleading (at best).
Only a small minority of the players (some of whom were not GMs) were described as 'alcoholics'.
Bill Wall primarily cited players for smoking (cigarettes, cigars, or pipes).
Bill Wall even cited Kramnik, even though he conceded that Kramnik quit smoking 20 years ago.
Driving while intoxicated (by alcohol) is a crime; driving while smoking is not.
Vivify has done about the equivalent of claiming that a list of men is a list of rapists,
when, in fact, the list consists nearly all of burglars, with only a few rapists.
"That was my main point, that there have been very successful grandmasters who were drinkers."

Disingenuous (at best). Vivify falsely claimed that many grandmasters were alcoholics.
When Alekhine realized that his drinking may have seriously contributed to his
losing a world championship to Euwe, Alekhine reportedly quit drinking alcohol
as he prepared for the rematch, which he won.
As I already have explained, Tal was cursed with a life of chronic pain from health problems.
Like many people suffering from chronic pain, Tal sought solace in drinking.
His friends wondered how much more a healthy sober Tal could have achieved.
