Hi my name is Trompowsky and I love to play the opening Trompowsky, naturally.

Here the first version of The RHP Trompowsky Challenge is coming up.

I, Trompowsky will play 15 games against other players and lay out the results and the games at this thread after the game.
Comments on the games an the score will then be takes nicely.

If you stand there saying: "What is the Trompowsky?" the answer is:
"1.d4 Nf6 2.Bg5"

If you want to be with me in this competision feel free to challange me, or if you feel that the Trompowsky sucks this is the time to prove it!

THE RULES:

1. You is allowed to use books, even thought I won´t.
2. I can´t see if you use a computer program like Fritz but I won´t.
3. I play white in all the games.
4. All games begins from the Trompowsky basic position.

Yes. I had given up 1..Nf6 for I feared the trompowsky.

Nice.

We now got a challenger, Freddie2006.
We have just arrived to the Trompowsky position (1.d4 Nf6 2.Bg5)
and the game is in full swing!

More challenges would be nice!

Hmmm.....it appears that White likes to open the H-file.....and black does best when it stays closed....

ok to bad.

The game is now at 1.d4 Nf6 2. Bg5 Ne4 (one of the main lines) 3.Bf4

3.Bh4 is not very good but 3.h4 is REALLY interesting, black should not take on g5 but instead play h6 with our main line just that h4 and h6 is played.

If you send over a challenge, I will take on your tromp. However, I won't be able to move past the first two moves until I get home (I will consult a database to get some idea of how to fight it - after about 8 moves I usually abandon the database though).

Ah yes... You are aware that it is now 2006?

I has also layed out two invites at open invites from the Trompowsky position.

One has already been taken, buthe moves are: (from the trompowsky position) 2...e6 3.e4
