Thats not even the worst thing.. what I hate is that when you analyze two, three, or even four lines out extensively and then the bloody bastard blunders and you don't get to slowly squeeze the life out of him.

EXACTLY!!! and then if you show the game to your coach or friends, they simply say: "well duh you won...look at that idiots blunder."

and any way that you try to explain your brilliancy is always dismissed by a "You don't know that" or something equally pathetic!!

But sometimes, it's the move that is beautiful and not the outcome... in that case it's a win win.

I hate it when you make a move that is brilliant but then the opponent just wipes you out...

I suppose you mean "BRILLIANT!" In other words, a move that gives you wings! 😛

is when you're playing a much weaker opponent, and you come up with a brilliant line that forces the mate out of a won position, even facing best play... but you know it's never going to happen, because your opponent isn't going to make aforesaid best play...
That is sad...but NOT the saddest! The saddest situation is working out an excellent strategy against a lower rated opponent, only to discover (after you've moved) you left your queen hanging because you were not looking at the whole board. This not only ruins hours of concentrated effort, but does not help a players self confidence either!

I don't understand your problem. So you've come up with some brilliant combination or plan, and then you're mad when your opponent makes a mistake and loses.

I mean, what do you want him to do? Not make a mistake and draw the game or beat you?

It's not a problem it's just sad. I am not a very strategical player, my area is tactical pressure... Once I can get it started I like to build it into an avalanche... I LIKE making that avalanche so when the opponent caves It saddens me that I took all the time to figure out how and what I was going to do for nothing... I love when my opponent makes mistakes because otherwise I wouldn't be able to make the "avalanche" but blundering after I start and not letting me build it up is just like stealing my fun and I don't like it... It should be against the law to blunder in america since I have the right to pursue happiness and those blunderers steal that chance! 😠
