puffing on pipes and playing for the honour of who was the most daring! I love the
Muzio, but it needs a stout heart and a willingness to boldly go where no control freak
dares to go! Awesome game.
Originally posted by robbie carrobieThe muzio is a great line to get as white because its at worst a draw and at best, if black doesn't play correctly, an easy win.

I'm guilty of twirling my mustache and smoking my pipe on a daily basis. Stout heart I simply make up for with a Stout Irish. Boldly go where no control freak dares? Hm. I'll substitute a bold Black Cavendish for that too.
Things have changed - but not too much. 🙂
P.S You can keep your Muzio

I tend to agree with this sentiment; it seems a tough way for white to make a draw!

chess, Reti and the hypermoderns? Karpov and the cautions defenders, the control
freaks of the age, who dare not give up a pawn for some vain glory of a king hunt?
Shame on the spirit of an age which has no romanticism and that has reduced the art
of chess to mere pedantry over pawns and pawn structures! good bishops verse bad!
here is the triumph of personality over materialism! behold as chess enters the realms
of metaphysics! behold the Muzio!
