    For six years between 2008 and 2014 the patterns seems normal for a 1300-1400 player. Still many mistakes but a slow crawl upwards from 1100 indeed. Sometimes still got trashed by a 1000-something. But it's' from May 2014, exactly a year ago, that the unstoppable climb started. No losses but a few time-outs.


    The question is why after so many years playing normal, the sudden desire to win against every price? Or was it that finally that missing page of the chess rule book was found back? Perhaps he played with such a severe handicap all these years as only now mate and promotions became explained 🙂

    It's also possible some AI became finally chess-aware....
