Does anyone know the most efficient way to use opening data bases, Ive pretty muc just been typing in like "French Winawar Chessgames" and then hunting through a bunch of games to see the line I need. Is there a more efficient way to use data bases anyone?

Which db are you using? Chessgames.com has an opening db where you just play the moves you want to check out. Fritz and Chessbase has a similar thing.

Is there like a tutorial somewhere how to use the two data bases efficiently?

Get some databases, chessbase,fritz, etc...

Enter the move and search for the position. If there are tons of game then enter in some requirements.

Say you are white, then enter in that white wins, or a year or that the white player must be over a certain rating etc...

OO the very first thing you do is, write down the move you are going to play and why, and then seach in a db. This way you are not blindly following a db and actually learing.

If the db shows a better move then yours, figure out why it is better and then play it.
