Ok, I know I did a blank post, just putting something here so that I don't get hassle for it. See follow up post. 😉

What I have recently done is categorise my games according to opening (Sicilian, Ruy Lopez, Italian Game etc).

What has also helped to improve my play is also create folders "Middlegame" and "Endgame". Anything in my Inbox are games that are still in the opening.

The opening is where I can quickly decide what move to make next. Middlegame is where I have to concentrate the hardest where there could be more complex positions. Therefore anything in the middlegame folder I would try not to play too fast.

The endgame folder is where I probably have a win in sight and likely to have worked out my winning moves.

What way do you effectively use your folders to store your games?

I have my inbox with 80%+ of my games. I also have the archive with all completed games and I have a folder called 'study' where I move games to when I reach what I consider to be a critical position (they come out once the game is an easy win/loss).
