I can't find any line that equalises for white after move 19, with Bd7+ not winning back the bishop due to Bxa1, leaving white with B vs R+P.
Yep.....Rd1+ Kc8 not Bxe8 and black has it in the bag.

Ok well going back to the line that was actually played.. what should/could I have done better? Kinda wierd that I completely botched a 3 pawn advantage.

He had perpetual check. I just saved us the agony of 10 or so more moves.

Ahh... but white could take your bishop, although that might be worse for white...

Here's another line that is interesting:

18. Bxb7+ Kxb7
19. Bxg7 Qxg7
20. Qxe7+ Kc8
21. Qc5+ followed by 22. Qxf5

even material, but White's King is a lot safer than Black's.

Here is something you could have done earlier in the game.

11...Nf6 instead of 11...Bf5

then if 12.Rd1 Qb6 and now you are threatening either 13.Ng4 which threatens a K+R fork or 13.Bg4, a skewer. Your queen on b6 also attacks the b2 square which boggs down the dark-squared bishop.

If white attacks your queen with Nd5, you trade knights, then castle. kingside. If white attacks your queen with Na4, you counter with Bg4.

it looks a bit more solid because you can then castle kingside and your king will be alot safer... as opposed to trying to castle long which obviously didn't work out.
