Been trying to find improvements on my play in this game.Could only see two possibilities:

    1) 7.Bf4!? The idea is to castle queenside creating a position with opposite sides castling (I expect him to castle kingside) which usually results in interesting,double-edged play. But queenside castling takes longer and with the open e- and d-files my king is in greater danger than his.So I reckon 7.Bd3 with a quick kingside castle was the better idea.

    2) 17.Qxc7 enabling him to use his rook on a half-open file on my king is just plain stupid.

I notice that several folks pgns don`t work and I predict the only reason is that you delete the result of the game ...the 1-0 or whatever at the end.

I no ...[text shortened]... ict the only reason is that you delete the result of the game ...the 1-0 or whatever at the end.
I took the pgn from the site and added [*pgn] [/pgn] as described in the FAQ but it didn't work.
Will try with deleting the result.

Tried it and you're right 🙂

    7. Bf4 you already commented on, I'd prefer 7. Be3 or 7. Bd3 with O-O

Move 8: Qa4 seems reasonable (keep your Queen out of the range of your opponent's pieces)

    On move 9 I'd still prefer Bd3 with O-O

From Nb4 on White's Queen is under constant harrassment, while you do not achieve anything from it - it's just hopping from spot to spot.

The central idea in this game is: put your Queen on a safe spot, instead of aimlessly moving her around. You made no less than seven Queen moves - and lost her.
