Well if any players up to aboutn 1700 standard want metoring I can help I have classis elo in the high 1900's but have been over 2000 in the past If u wish to improve ur grade i will help..and have good knowledge in opening theory if u need help in this area I would be glad to help........openings I play....queens gambit...trompowsky...stonewall...as white....as black I play scandinavian defence...Icelandic gambit...french...and I HAVE GOOD REPLIES FOR MOST OF WHITES OPENINGS.......if u wish to get thought a little to improve I will do this as a favour.....ps my grade on this site is only late 1500"s I have lost 3 games 1 on a timeout and 2 fair and square 2 draws and 20+ wins if u think u would benefit from some help mail me and I will help we could play unrated games and discuss your style of play and the basics...regards paulsmove

I am in real need of a mentor. For some odd reason I cannot improve, I adore the game, see it as the martial art of the mind, and I am the chess moderator in my school, but damn if I can see two moves ahead.

If anyone would like to, I am looking for a long term mentor, a Mr Miyagi of chess.

BTW Very much enjoyed "Samurai Chess" and "The Tao of Chess"

my rating is 1600 afer 15 games but it will probably get higher.

I will take you up on that LOTCB, I had a mentor assigned, but she apparently didn't have time to mentor me. I'm trying to focus on my clan games, so only 1 or 2 unrated mentoring games if you don't mind...Brian

I'll give some tips to a -1200 player if anyones interested. Don't think im advanced enouph to really coach anyone stronger than that. Send me a PM and i'll set up an unrated game where i explain my thinking with every move. Whoever joins will know what im planning and can find an appropriate plan to counter it. 🙂
