From a complete newbies perspective......it was pretty bad after say move 4.
granted my first couple of games look just as bad.
work through it and see where you blundered and look for places where you could have taken advantage of opponents blunders.
I had a few hours of chess lessons this weekend, basically just walking through games as I'm not that good to really get in depth with openings, or real strategy and the guy giving me the lesson kept saying, when i'd say "analyze this one, it's good I won" and he would say "BOTH players played horrible, you just played a move or two a LESS horrible"
so I have been varying my playing to playing like-rated players, to playing the computer at say a 1600 rating. obviously loosing, but the games from a 1600 or even more rated player, are easier for me to analyze realistically what i did or am doing wrong...rather than worry about what someone else did wrong, although thats usually how you are going to win, but i was told worrying about yourself not making many mistakes first is the hard part, looking for others mistakes is much easier.
that probably doesn't make sense, but my game improved greatly after only a mere 4 hours of lessons I had a few wins against a 1200 rated player on ICC.

Are you a GM?

I thought White's play was very good. If you are playing a weak player then sometimes the games can look ugly, but I felt White was in control the whole way through, took advantage of Black's many mistakes and finished it off clinically.
White won without messing around.
At first white gains a pawn, then a piece, then a queen exchange (when ahead in material this is powerful), then another pawn, then moved in on the black king.
It was also a bit of a fluke that black played into white's hands for the quick mate, and that is just fine.
The only thing i am confused about is why "white" feels so boastful, perhaps "white" has not played a lot of chess before?
