what's your favourite method? personally i like singing " there may be trouble ahead" when i'm winning. and when loosing i just like to whistle...that really pi*ses them off!

It is a violation of the rules and the spirit of the game to annoy your opponent. I would never do such a thing.
I never bathe or brush my teeth for a week before any tournament.
Then I sniff and cough, and sigh heavily to blow my stink his way.
Im joking ive never played in a tournie and not much otb experience at all.
It is definately the sign of a weak minded and or weak player who would resort to such things. Not in the spirit of the game at all I say.
But a funny thread nevertheless!
normally, as my opponent is about to make a move i make a small sound indicating that is a bad move, even if it isnt.
Or i laugh a doctor evil laugh under my breath after a god move i have made.
but the thing that annoy's them the most is when u tap ur finger's gently against the table, staring at them making swishing sound with ur spit in ur mouth!!!
i once played this old chinese guy who kept twitching his eyebrows each time i moved, boy did that annoy me!!!!
I always try to use excellent chess etiquette whenever I play OTB, but I do have a little story about a guy I played in a tournament once. He had good manners, was very polite, but every time I'd make a move he would nod his head in a knowing way, as if to indicate he had been expecting that move all along. Very annoying after a while. I'd sit there for several minutes and finally come up with a brilliant move and there he'd be, nodding his head as he writes down my move on his note pad. You start to think, "Isn't there anything I can do to surprise this guy?" It's almost like psy-ops.
i dont annoy opponents, I outplay them
anyway, one fellow club player often stares at me when playing. not only that, he often stares at board for a second, then at me for couple seconds, then again board, me ,board...his eyes are always moving. that really bugs if you are playing longer time controls
