Given the choice to take a rook or bishop which one do you choose? If you say it depends on the game that makes them equal to me... would you rather be left with a knight or bishop?

I prefer the bishop because it seems more powerful than the knight to me in endgames.
But £i have to say I was wrong, if you look at this game (in progress!)

I see knight vs bishop, I'll watch and see how it pans out. Good luck with that one. I thought I was with you, the bishop has more range. But the knight can attack any colour square...

Knights have Armor, Swords, and horses. Bishops have robes. Unless they can manage some divine intervention, Bishops don't stand a chance.

As you say, it depends on the position, but as a rule I tend to prefer knights because they can attack any square, and also forks may be missed, whereas a diagonal is easier to consider and plan against.

they are equal. when it's knight vs bishop it all depends on the position. It's true that bishops are usually better when pawns are on both sides of the board in an endgame, but a knight is the best blocker of a passed pawn...it all depends
