For me on Red Hot Pawn,
I think it was 1300 and my rating on RHP is 1161.

On Yahoo!, it was a 1746, and my rating on Yahoo! is 1388 (Though it was 1235 when I beat the 1746)

OTB, it was a 1397, and my rating is 1129 USCF
I'm not sure, but the best *result* I ever got was a draw against Hikaru Nakamura in an ICC simul 😀

I could have gone for the win in the final position too - I realised later 🙁

Wow! That's really cool. 🙂 Do you have the PGN from that game?

Here are my best results.

Game 1919408 (Black was rated 1870 at the time - This is probably my best game.)

Game 2075589

I've beaten 2000-ish players at blitz a few times, and I did manage a (very boring) draw against Fritz8 with the aid of a database.

Thanks. Yep, I do - framed on the wall, of course! Here are the moves:

1. Nf3 d5 2. g3 Nf6 3. Bg2 c6 4. O-O g6 5. d3 Bg7 6. Nbd2 O-O 7. e4 Bg4 8. Qe1 dxe4 9. dxe4 Qa5 10. e5 Nfd7 11. h3 Bxf3 12. Nxf3 Qxe1 13. Rxe1 Nc5 14. b3 Ne6 15. Bb2 Rd8 16. Ba3 Kf8 17. Rad1 Nd7 18. Rd3 Nb6 19. Rxd8+ Rxd8 20. Bf1 a5 21. Bc1 a4 22. Be3 Nd5 23. Bd2 axb3 24. axb3 Ra8 25. Bd3 h6 26. Bc4 Ra2 27. Rc1 b5 28. Bxd5 cxd5 29. Kf1 Ke8 30. Ke2 Kd7 31. Bc3 h5 32. b4 Bh6 33. Bd2 Bxd2 34. Kxd2 Ra3 35. c3 Ra2+ 36. Rc2 Ra1 37. Rc1 Ra2+ 38. Rc2 Ra1 39. Ne1 Kc6 40. h4 d4 41. cxd4+ Kd5 42. Nf3, draw agreed.

The time limit was 55+10. On move 21 he initially blundered with Rd1?? but I allowed him to takeback the move. In the final position, 42. ... Ra4! is good for black; I had been planning 42. ... Ra3 (43. Ke2?? Rxf3) but then noticed 43. Ng5 Nxd4 44. Rc5, mate, and got scared. It was 3am, I was pretty drunk.

Thanks for posting the game! Nice game - I'll take a more thorough look later -; a lot of artillery left the board pretty early, and it definitely looks like your position is a bit better near the end. Nakamura's play looked somehwat stale - I suppose he was blitzing his moves - but, hey, it's great to draw (or even have the opportunity!), to draw, a player of Naka's caliber.

Thanks. Yes, I think he was content to keep me at arm's length, so to speak. Re the swaps: I think without Qa5xe1 my position would have been very difficult; as it was, I had less space but no out and out weakness. He kept losing tempi with bishop moves and I was gradually able to activate. Of course on a good day he'd destroy me in a simul, I'm sure!

My biggest win was against Quirine, see Game 2075589. I spend really a lot of time thinking during that match. I think it is one of my better ones.
He was around 2000 at the time, 300 point above mine.
But maybe he spend only 5 minutes on each move, while I spend half an hour. It was a great feeling anyway 😏

Back before computers I played a postal game against Samuel Reshevsky. He charged $35 per game for "instruction." I drew a N & P ending, thereby giving me a lifetime 50% score against grandmasters!

I beat two 1850 or so rated players in pogo(?) one time. I was thinking clearly and was playing as well as I could so I started challenging the 2000 pluss rated players. None of them would play me. I have never been rated higher then 1480 or so in places like Yahoo, Pogo ect.

In a tournament I played against a 1639 player and beat him and then played a 1669 player and drew him.

Ive also beat several 2000+ players on pogo but they are mediocre at best...well most of them are anyways. Im like 1800+ on there with 4 sns all at that level.
