What's the lowest rated player you've lost to...

I'm curious, what was the lowest rated player you ever lost to? If it is on the internet, please state your internet rating. If it was OTB, please state your OTB rating.

For me, OTB, just 2 or three weeks ago I lost to a 678. My USCF rating is 1129. Boy was that humiliating.

Trains44 who is currently rated 2125, although I'd have thought he'd be rated more like 500 by now.... 😕

I've lost to a couple 1100's. The lowest withing the past couple months though was 1300 I think.

Loosing to a 600 rated player when one is below 1400 should be no surprize to anyone- annoying, yes- but low rated players are prone to study and improve rapidly... That is why one should play their absolute best chess against them, fearing that they are , skills wise, more like an 1400 player or better. OTB, I play much better than my rating, as I play OTB rarely, study daily, and work hard at eliminating my biggest fault- annoying blunders that turn won or equal games into losses, which have kept my rating low. Eventually Lower rated players just get mad, fix their problems, and go out and kick a$$. Sorry- but it will happen to me too, i'm sure.

It was interesting looking this up.

I don't know about at the time I took the loss, but the lowest rated player now is Gastal.

OTB regular: about 1400 player. (my OTB rating about 1700)
OTB blitz: I guess about 1300 plaeyr (I was unrated)
