Similar to What’s Your Morphy Number? You played someone (could have been a simul) who played someone who played someone .... who played Fischer.
Example: my Fischer Number is 3: Tarjan (simul) > Gligoric > Fischer.
Fischer played a well-publicized simul tour in 1964, so someone here must be 'young' enough to have a Fischer Number of 1 !

Gligoric's career spanned generations: he played Spassky, Petrosian, Smyslov, Botvinnik, Tal, and Euwe; early in his career he played Milan Vidmar, Bogo, and Tartakower, and through them the link goes back to Alekhine, Capablanca, Lasker, and Steinitz.
all those who have played me have a fischer number of no more than 3
now that is creepy
I've spawned a lot of fischer 3's, probably thousands
