For most of this game, Game 2465615 I thought I had a winning position. Suddenly it all went to pot. Can anyone identify my blunder (or black's brilliant move) ???
Cheers,
Mathurine :'(

It always important to remember that taking pawns infront of your King (in this case:- f7,g7,h7) is that Black will often get compensation (and/or counterplay) for them, Open files are perfect spots for Rooks to control and occupy, and in this game, it was clearly the tactical threat at h2 that cost you.
Instead of Qxh7 I would suggest a closer inspection of;
a) Nd2, simply developing a peice (the A-rook will thank you for it)
B) f4, challening the centre.

Theres hope for me yet!
decides, my rating (in regards to this topic) is actaully rather insignificant, what does matter however, is the accuracy/quality of my contribution (my analysis)
now, if the 'oh-so mighty' 1800 [you] wishes to prove my analysis and/or comments wrong, inaccurate, exagerated or whatever then your post may actually have a point worth making.

care to explain why, and what the alternative (non-vertually losing)move(s) was?
You could have played, 17.fxe7 and then black would have to take with his king and forfit castling otherwise take your bishop with his pawn and lose the rook for a pawn or else take the pawn with his queen, in which case...
17.fxe7 Qxe7 18.Nxd5 Threatening the queen and giving leaving the e-pawn hanging
