Still being provisional and it is not easy to start new game with decent opponent. When I in game name ask "please only 1500+" the game is almost always accepted by someone with 1000 rating. I once played against such a guy and I lost 50 points altough I won. So please, any 1500-1700 player interested?😕

When you create a new game you can set rating limits. It is under the advanced options.

this is not possible when you're on provisional level.
Good luck with it, 20 games and you'll be able to set limits.
I'd play you, but my rating is only 1200-...

Keep beating them and once you have beaten 20 you can play who you want.

or become a subscriber and enter some tournaments.

No highly rated player will want to play you until you get rid of that p rating as they do not know your true strength and could lose 30+ rating points (against someone who may actually be rated higher than them).

Yep its annoying winning but losing points.

FAQ

Just play anyone until your rating is no longer provisional.

You may lose some points initially but until you have 20 games plus under your belt the rating means nothing.

If you are a true rated 1600/1700 player then, after you lose your provisonal status, your rating will soon reach that level again and you will be able to play with those at your ability.

I do not want to. I understand that someone with 1900 doesn't want to play with me. But it bothers me that I ask in game name "please only 1500+" and than always players with 1000 or below accepts.

You can always delete those games until someone with a 1500 rating accepts... which may take a while. deleting games by clicking the bin that appears next to the game in your inbox will not affect rating or wins and losses, it will be as if the game was never created

I thought you would have realised that people are unable to read open invites lol

As I said earlier play us lower rated cannon fodder, you should be winning the games easily and quickly, which will get rid of the P status and you will soon be on the way to playing the people you desire.

I found 1450 player, now I am winning put he dropped 350 points in one day! I am afraid I will lose much by this win. Doesn't matter though. After 10 games or so the points amplitude is less obvious after win or loss isn't that true? So there is only a few of sad victories to play 😛

In the first 20 games relax and take it easy. What is the use of getting a 2200 rating after 20 games and then being hammered in the next 20 games to reach 1600?
