Good thought!! I think kramnik is stronger after beating topalov and maybe topalov would like to beat kramnik there to regain some respect. Anand is really good but as u said I'll go for kramnik. I would like to see karking vs carlsen games. It should be interesting . I'll go for karjakin.

I predict that at least one of the top three will fall to one of the kids: Carlsen, Karjakin, Radjabov, Ponomariev, who will then join Anand in second place behind Kramnik.

First draw - Karjakin (white) played very safe against Kramnik and made draw.

All games but one in the A group are finished now, and they are all drawn...

Edit: But the last one wasn't. Van Wely - Radjabov 0-1

I don't know if I'd call Topalov a favorite, but I think there's a tendancy to under rate his chances. Yeah, he's in a bit of a slump, but it's not too deep and slumps can end rather suddenly. It's not like he got skinned by Kramnik, and in any case I think he is stronger in tournaments than matches. If he gets a new manager who knows...

If he gets a new manager, some people will start to like him again. You must like his chances in this tournament. He, Anand, and Kramnik all have equal chances to win the game, and likely at least one of the kids (which seems to include all the others) will have a good event and give them a run for the money.

Most of the games were "GM draws", it would have been better watching a real shootout on Playchess - Deep Fritz vs Deep Shredder. There's no GM draws in such contests.

I've been wondering - what's the proper pronounciation for "Wijk Aan Zee?"
