Game 1090105

My only one, I didn't think it'd work as it was a real haymaker of a punch, but it did so there!

Umm, traded a knight for a pawn and it somehow worked... Game 944291

21 should have been Qg6 but I didn't see it until 3 moves later.

(I'm not very good. πŸ™ )

I have an excellent one fresh out of the oven. A queen sac for an indirect forced mate.

ark13: Very nice! I don't think that I could have spotted that. Guess that's why I was so badly beaten in our games...

Freddie2004: What would have happened if your opponent had played 18.Bc2 ? Anyway, it's a pretty smothered mateπŸ™‚

Game 1032629

I almost always look for a sacrifice when black plays O-O and h6.

i didn't take that into consideration, purely because i was 90% certain she would take the free pawn!

Check this one out. He could've saved himself with Qf3 after I played f5. But still, an almost sound sacrifice. πŸ˜‰

My best sac (2 rooks, a N and a B) took place against an old DOS-based chess program running at a depth of 5. I was just playing around and blew the opening completely, so opted for attack. Here's the position after the program played 12 Nb5:

There followed:

12 ... axN
13 QxRch Ke7!
14 QxR (the Q has no flight square)
14 ... Nb4
15 Qh7 f5
16 c3 Nxa2 ch
17 Kb1 Nxc3 ch
18 bxN Qxc
19 Qxh Qb3 ch
20 Kc1 Ba3 ch
21 Kd2 Bb4 ch!
22 Kc1 Qc3 ch
23 Kb1 Ba2 ch!
24 KxB Qc2ch
25 Ka1 Bc3 mate

What I particularly like is the devastation of the black field at the end of the game:

I can stare at this end position for hours! (Well, practically!)

Sorry. The fens didn't go, and the moves got trashed! Will try again later ... πŸ™
