I think that me and you would have a good time playing a Sicilian Dragon game.

1.e4 I play, usually into the Ruy Lopez if I can. Against the sicillian defence I usually play a closed variation.

Against a d4 opening as black I play a queens indian defence, usually beginning with 1...Nf6 or 1...e6

Against ruy lopez I usually play a cozio transposing into a deferred.

When I play as white, I am starting more of the English (c4) with 1...Nf6 as my oponents most often response I often get to play 2.d4 and if permited 3. Nc3 4. e4. At this point im pretty happy. if e6 or d5 i trasnpose into queens gambit. As black against e4 I play the petrov defence but im thinking of studying a few lines of the sicilian. against d4 i play d5, usually leading to QG declined and against c4 i play e6 then d5, usually forcing the QG again, where i choose to decline until the right moment. Against most non '4' or '5' i try to play something sharp and gain control of the center.

QG or KG? Why? They aren't really similar and it just requires you to study more.

Well i've only been playing since last month 😛 so i don't have much in the way of openings right now.

As white I always play 1.e4 hoping for the Italian game somtimes playing evan's gambit and sometimes not depending on my mood.

As black, i simply try to play sensibly but have no planned opening. I am looking around and have dabbled in a few but haven't found one I like enough to stick with it yet. But i'll have to stick with something soon and start studying it as best i can. I would like to find something i can play against both 1.e4 and 1.d4 which seem to be the most popular openings . . . but that may just be wishful thinking 🙂

similar my ass!

black can hold on to the gambit pawn (and many popular lines do so) in the KG, but the same isnt true for the QG. The main line for the QG is the QGD while the main line in the KG, the accepting of the gambit is the main line. There's a bunch of other differences but I'm too lazy to list them all.

Oh, and I don't need you to list the differences, I know them because I play the KG and discuss it with members of my clan...who also use the KG. (Surprise, surprise).
