I do look over a range of openings but devote most time to the following:
As white:
1 e4
Kings Indian Attack against the sicilian and the french (an attempt to avoid the theory)
The Scotch is my next in line for study
As black:
Against 1e4: The pirc initially because I liked the name but I've grown to love it and intend to stay thru good times and bad! I've found the book Pirc Alert usefull
Against 1d4: Starting to learn the Nimzo-Indian but also thinking about how the pirc can be employed.
Against 1c4: Mirror the first few moves then get thinking - would like to learn something more but my precious chess study time is too busy with tactics, endings, strategy, going over my own games, going over grandmaster games and the above openings.
I'm currently attempting to spend more time on tactics and endings than openings - always aiming for rapid improvement🙂🙂

What opeings do you ppl play?
In 50 games, I will play 1. e4 40 times and 1. Nf3 10 times.
with 1. Nf3 I pretty much always play the King's Indian Attack
with 1. e4, I usually play the King's Gambit (King's Knight Gambit usually, though I have tried the King's Bishop Gambit several times), Danish Gambit (sparingly, mostly for a strong attack agains ...[text shortened]... e4 and the King's Indian Defense and a transposed Queen's Gambit Declined against 1. d4.
Against e4: I have always played c5. I think it gives black good winning chanses in the Drgon and The Schveshnikov.
Against d4: d5 and then the Chigorin if I really have to win or the Qgambit accepted if not.
Against c4: Most Often Nc6. If then d4 then i play d5 and we have the Chigorin but if Nf3 or something comes I play e5 followed by g6 Bg7 d6 Be6 and if my enemy plays g3 then: h5 h4 Qd7 Bh3... sac, sac MATE!
You can Also play 1... c5 for a more quiet game ;P
Against Nf3: You can play 1...c5 and hope for 2.e4 If c4 I have positions I have played anyway. Or I can play Nc6, if d4 then d5 followed by Bg4 and whites best is to play c4 and we have a chigorin.
and if c4 we play e5 and we have the above system.
That´s my (black) 24/7 reportiar. (if that´s the right letterz?9

The Sicilian is not only about theory (even thought that is VERY important!!)
but also about the dynamic postions that comes from it. Often with attackz sacz and other cool stuff! ;P
That´s what i´m trying to say!
It´s more important to know the basic strategies and tactics in the positions than to know ALL the theory.
The typcal attackz and so on. I think the positions teach intermedite players alot about attacking and tactics.
Then knowing a little theory is just a bonus, you can get some REALLY easy victories.
