I missed a chance to win his bishop earlier with 8.h3! as well.
Its always amazing in chess how often people will play the one move that really f***s them over.

Let's see it. The most unsound sac that you made, when you were feeling truly manic, that actually resulted in a win. Here's mine...

Game 2174611

12.Nxf7, which actually later resulted in a discovered check allowing me to win his queen.

And I had analyzed 28.Bxf8, but forgot about it when I made the move. 😀
13... c6 was a shocking move by your opponent.

I don't think saccing 3 times in the first 9 moves is the soundest,

You couldn't get more unsound than this!

Game 2677362

For some reason I thought my opponent's Queen was on the light squared diagonal. 😕

This happened a long time ago, but I still want to cry when I think about it. In a Golden Knights Finals (correspondence) game I was playing a former US Championship competitor. This guy was never a major player, but he did have a couple of draws with Fischer to his credit! Coming out of the opening, I surprised him with a promising P sac. Got a strong attack going and eventually found what I thought was a game winning B sac. I stopped analyzing when I got to the place where he couldn’t avoid mate. It was a real thrill for a lowly Class B to have a player of his caliber beaten, and I was making plans to send the game in to Chess Review magazine for possible publication. I should have looked one move further…because right where I ended my analysis, he sac’d the piece back which ended my attack and left me dead lost. After the game he commented, “You had me busted. I don’t understand why you sac’d the piece.”
