That's marvellous. Can anybody explain it? The most weird part of it is that a particular circular figure rotates only in a certain sense( clockwise or anticlockwise) only. And any two adjacent circular figures rotate in opposite senses.

I don't know how it works but I bet it has something to do with the rods and cones in your eyes and their amount.......the same reason you can only see some stars out of the corner of your eye.....I hope someone else can elaborate. 🙂

the so-called 'improved illusion' didn't spin at all for me (although none of them spun much. i did experience a sort of strobe effect at the center of each gradient circle.
