I just reread the questiion, and you did not say 'on an empty stomach'. Therefore,

    I have no idea.

The riddle is: How many cookies can you eat if your stomach is empty?

The answer is one. After you've eaten one cookie, your stomach is no longer empty.

Would you like an easier riddle?

The answer is short, cuz if you add the 2 letters to short (er ) it becomes the word shorter.
