OK, I found a less tedious one:
1. .. Bf5
2. Qxa8 Qd6+
3. Kc1 Na1!
One problem: What if 3. Kc3!
Still trying...

I think it's time to come up with the solution:
The right first move is
1...Bf5!
To play this move takes quite a lot of calculation as there are several lines for black later. Black has to play
2Qxa8 .

Now follows
2...Qd6+ 3.Kc1
3.Ke2 Bd3+ 4.Kd2 Be4+ and the white King has to go to c1 as happened in the game.
3.Kc3 Qe5+ 4.Kd2 Qd5+ 5.Kc3 Qa5+ 6.Kb3 Na1+ 7.Ka2 Qd5+

3...Na1!! 4.Qxb7
4.b4 Nb3+ 5.Kb2 Qd2+
4.Bc4 Q to c7/c6/c5
4...Qc7+!! and white resigned
I think this is a very beautiful game.
It was played in the Hastings tournament 1973-74
between Planinc (white) and Vaganjan (black)

Your black opponent has played a very sloppy opening.
Now it's time to punish him. White to move.
Joined 17 Dec '06 Moves 8208 I think this might work:
1. Nxf5 -- e6xf5 (if g6xf5 2.Qh5+ - Ke7 3. Bg5#, and if anything else white has an extra pawn and a considerable advantage)
2. Qd5 -- Qe7 ( the only way to stop Qf7🙄
3. e6 and black is lost (3. ke8 4. a1-d1)
Joined 17 Dec '06 Moves 8208 sorry about that: ( *3. kd8 -- 4. a1-d1 )

3. e6 and black is lost (3. ke8 4. a1-d1) The first variation is forced and leads to mate almost immediately as you pointed out.
