Okay, I'll retire this open challenge.

The song was "I've Been Everywhere" by Hank Snow. A real toe-tappin' song.

-Ray.

Don't know dfm65's answer.

Possible answer to ShallowBlue would be "Changes," which I think was by David Bowie.

Here is a lyric I thought was being sung when I was young and it was on the radio, but it turns out I didn't have it quite right:

"She's got electric boobs and mohair pubes."

Hint on my last challenge: think Elton John, 1970s.

Nyxie is correct on the Elton song.

If Nyxie had said, "It was the third of June," the song would be "Ode to Billie Joe." But given that the month is September, I don't know what Nyxie's song is.

It just came to me after repeating it over and over in my head!

"It was the third of September... a date I'll always remember..."

The song is "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" by whichever artist that has covered the song during the past few decades. I am partial to the Temptations' version.

My turn:

"Because I Can't Stop Messin' With The Danger Zone"

-Ray.
