Some of my flying buddies were having this discussion, And IMO the plane WILL take off, The plane is moving forward 100 kts, the treadmill is going backwards 100 kts, Tires are spinning at 200 kts which has nothing to do with flight. But some of my friends say Im wrong,

I left the family band ...[text shortened]... ig tour back east with my family, Then maybe move back to AZ and see if I can get a job flying.
Get some smaller tires and let them rotate at 300rpm. Who effing cares?!
You boys just stay in the bar and keep out of the air.

You are right except that in this case you can't subtract the plane speed from the treadmill speed. The treadmill speed and direction are not in any way able to influence the plane speed.

I polled random non pilots, 50 % said it wont take off, The difference is that they dont understand that the plane is not powered by its wheels, but they are freely rotating.
Also just for your information, putting a smaller tire on will not increase the tire speed, it will stay at 200 kts regardless
Edit: n/m, just seen you said "RPM"
