I wonder, why do chickens lay eggs all year long?

Are they the only bird that lays eggs all during the year?

Why is that, it makes no sense?

The domesticated chicken does what it is bread to do.
The natural chicken doesn't. They have their own rythm.

Reproduction : Red Junglefowl mainly breeds during the summer or spring season.
