Antiviral drug may extend brain cancer survival

Obviously we are not even close to talking about a cure here. But if more research confirms that this drag actually works, it would significantly improve treatment for brain cancer and possibly make most people with such cancer survive for well over over two years.

My best buddy in Israel, a polymath genius type, Ray Scudero, died of a brain tumor at the age of 50, way too young. He was a singer songwriter Luthier, written 600 songs and made dozens of guitars, dulcimers and such. RIP, I hope they do find a cure for this dread disease.

I used to work for a farmer that had brain cancer.
While I was working for him, he had a truly ghastly slow death that made me very scared of the disease ever since.
But that was a few decades ago when getting brain cancer was close-enough a death sentence. Since then, thanks to improved treatments, the survival rate from this deadly disease has greatly improved but it still kills the majority of people that get it. Hopefully that will soon change.
