Could we use this money spent on this war against talibans (which was never won) to some good for the starving people? And how much good would we achieve?

Al though world hunger is a huge problem, and we need to help our fellow in any way possible, energy shortage is another problem as well.

Maybe solving one problem could help the other one. I believe that was money well spent, since we spend higher amounts on useless crap.

Take the olympics for example, China invested about 40 billion dollars on it. Was it truly useful?
