Sysinternals.com used to be a free site, it still is but it got 'aquired' by microsoft, don't know if that is good or bad but anyway there are some really useful utilities there.

That does have a lot of great tools. You might want to look at the descriptions of the utilities first when downloading:

I heard that they were bought by MS primarily because it was a bit embarrassing that this site had so many tools that were better than the tools MS provided in some cases.

In any case, for anyone in the IT business there are tools there that incredibly useful. There is at least one there that I use every day.
