Well, an ordered list isn't important here. The importance with the listable (countable) proparty of an infinite set is to establish a one-to-one relationship with elements in another infinite set, namely the integer set.

Cantor himself had much trouble to explain the infinity and its pecularities to the other matematicians of is time. It was too count ...[text shortened]... ecognision of being right, that he got later. Now it is a perfectly valid branch of mathematics.
As Mark Twain once said, a man with a new idea is a krank--until it works.

If the link does not work, search on "license plate ending in zero image"

scroll down and click on "Oregon 1937"

EDIT:" there is another one from Maryland
I didn't find the one you mentioned, but I found that you can buy a whole lot on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_nkw=sample+license+plate&_frs=1

But they all say they are sample plates.

There is a story about a Chicago plate that is just zero.

Why did you search for numbers 'ending in zero'? We are only interested in plates that are all zeros.

No offense intended, just wondered what level you achieved in math? I would assume ZFC set theory would be graduate work, I could also be all wet on that subject🙂

You seem to have come out of that adversity mostly unscathed. My family has stories about the abuse of women. What is your country if you don't mind me asking?

Scroll down to "History". France is credited with the first license plates in 1893.

There is a local auto junk yard that has hundreds of plates on the walls, some back to 1910 or so.
