Shortly after upgrading our local library from card drawers to computers, I took my little kids to the library. What are you searching for, says the library database computer. "Sex!", says my 8 yr old. I am searching for sex, says the animated robot on the interface screen, and my kids started cracking up, in public.
Today, Google targets 'fake news' and offensive searches. In between then and now, searching for information about breast-feeding or determining the sex of an embryo is problematic!
AI is moving along too slowly. People aren't obsolete anytime yet.
But we're trying hard!
