Throwing processed, synthetic materials in giant piles to slowly decay seems silly. But recycling is in crisis and problematic itself. Only 10% of plastic is recycled? That's bananas.
What are the good solutions for recycling? Here's one that sounds great, but may be difficult to implement: https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2019/04/just-10-us-plastic-gets-recycled-new-kind-plastic-could-change
We have to recycle in Canada so I'm sure it's more than 10% here.
I'm sure you know all electronics like computers and cellphones have Silver and Gold in them.
A typical cellphone has 1/3rd of a gram of silver!
Millions of discarded cellphones sitting in a landfill somewhere.
Find a cost effective way to retrieve and recycle those cellphones and you're rich 😊
