    Ricoh is highly underestimated as a Co.

    It was the first twin-reflex design and manuf'r. (1950s)

    First digital FAX machine designer and supplier. (1960s)

    It now owns Pentax, another prolific designer in the world of cameras.

    This is an amazing instrument...... yet, no surprise really - the inevitable is the 360DEGREE Video cam. 😉

    The other half of the equation is the way the image is handled. You saw in the video clip I assume, where he would finger the image around but the screen portion of the image was very natural looking. That takes quite a bit of video manipulation, presumably done in hardware on board the camera, not sure.
