Getting into sci fi territory here🙂 reading an actual atmospheric spectrum of a planet more than 40 light years from home.
I didn't see temperature readings but the article intimated it was very hot, maybe too hot for liquid water and it also didn't say anything about a planetary magnetic field which would help retain an atmosphere. Without a field, if there is an atmosphere would dissipate not very fast but over a million years or so without some kind of regeneration of the atmosphere it would be gone due to interactions with the parent sun.
