In my opinion the problem with electric vehicles is the charging times. If I get gas it takes less than 5 minutes. So that's how fast a charge needs to be. Or...a charging station could have batteries already charged and you just switch it out. Leave your dead battery and get a fully charged one.
Too many people don't have a house where they can charge their car so something has to be done for those people.
Also, aren't these batteries explosive? Or quick to catch on fire?
EV's will definitely be the future though 😉

you will realize that there is lots of work still to do and I suspect we won't see large areas of the mebrane by the technology they used t fabricate their samples...but human is innovative, so there is some hope.
Wonder how long the total global reserve of 14 million tons will last...We are just now getting into the "green fuels" and used 1/165th of the total global supply just last year. Then, there are the mining issues to resolve...Oh well, people are going to do what they are going to do. Environmentalists today are tomorrow's capitalists...

My faith in Silver being very expensive one day has been restored.
Silver batteries are better than all others ...they just need to get more recharge cycles...
Compared with alkaline batteries, silver oxide batteries have a flatter discharge curve, and compared with lithium-ion batteries, silver oxide batteries have a greater run time. Also, silver oxide batteries do not have flammability problems and are free from thermal runaway, unlike their lithium-ion counterpart

I am sure new technologies in batteries will emerge, maybe even have the same energy density of fossil fuels, just dreaming but maybe.
Also EV's CAN be lighter if they get the batteries lighter.
For sure EV's will be easier to maintain.
Electric motors don't last forever but you might get a few hundred thousand miles out of them.

They would have to be hermetically sealed and bearings not of metal but magnetic bearings so there would be no contact between the rotor and the housing, then it would be down to how long can the wiring used in such motors last before shorting out?
