so are you saying that there is clear evidence for human evolution, its just not in the fossil record? or that it has not been discovered yet.
I think there are enough indications, both within the fossil record and in genetics, to conclude that human evolution happened and that humans and apes have a common ancestry.

So if you count on the intervention of your god to get you to play a strong game of chess, why aren't you world champ now?🙂 If that were true, wouldn't you then just be a puppet?

mmm, no not really because i am of the opinion that me winning the world championship is not really an aspect of Gods will or his purpose and therefore it would be unlikely that he would sanction it with his blessing, however, exposing the fanciful meanderings of Hawkinites like the illustrious noobster and the no nonsense self appointed fundamentalist witch finder general Fabliod, just might squeeze within the realms of his jurisdiction. 🙂

So you are saying you know the mind of your god? I thought your god was unknowable. You are indeed in a privileged position.

I love the blind devotion of this kind of Christian/Muslim (for some reason Jews don't seem to be like this). Actually I don't love it but it amuses me.

If it's good, God did it.
If it's bad, it was done despite God.

oh sonhouse my friend, who stated that he was unknowable? for it seems to me , through the examination of both the physical universe, both micro and macro and through the examination of scripture, there is a type of personality revealed, that is quite knowable, if one becomes acquainted with it. thus if you examined my home, and one or two autobiographical works that i had authored, would you also not be able to discern a type of personality?

blind devotion????, get a grip, the only thing that's blind is your lack of understanding that others see things differently than you, Why , for we are individuals. why is there so much prejudice to this idea, that we are free thinkers in our own right? it really amazes me, why this should be the case? now you will be pleased to tell the forum, what i am blindly giving devotion to?

I suggest that this thread has drifted so far from science that it really should be continued in Spirituality.

yes, those who frequent the science forum show a remarkable propensity for bringing spirituality into their posts despite the protestations of others like me and you, it is, therefore, self evident, that, despite the denial, they are subconsciously displaying an innate sense of spirituality which science, in itself cannot satisfy, they therefore as you suggest, need to visit the spirituality forum, in order to properly evaluate the nature of this phenomena.

You're the one quoting scripture in the science forum. 🙄
