If we have figured out that light is the sp ...[text shortened]... ong, we'll just have to disregard 200 years of evidence and fall over and worship the lord'?
a few doubts, a few doubts, it is to laugh, the whole process is flawed, from the very inception that life could originate and organise itself from amino acids in a conveniently reducing primitive atmosphere from, I love the scientific term for this, 'the organic soup', anyone for organic soup and bread?... through the vast diversity that we see, the fossil record itself, the case for mutations, the case for transmutation of one species to another, the case for the uniqueness or otherwise of humans, take anyone of these and counter arguments can be produced which convincingly nullify any semblance of a outer Mongolian remote nano chance that life was the product of a seemingly unintelligent 'act' and evolved of its own accord, i do not expect you to agree nor accept this, for this is a personal belief, based you will notice not on gut feeling as you have erroneously asserted, but on my evaluation of the science.

I do not mean to be rude, honestly i do not, but i had hoped that this would not descend into an evolution v creationism argument, there is enough of that in the spirituality forum, and i have had quite enough of that already. so i will say no more on the subject, it was fun at first but i feel it getting a little more sinister, and i will take my leave, good night to all - regards robbie.

Why do you insist on grouping the origin of life with evolution? The origin of life problem is not addressed by evolution, only what happened to it after it got started. The origin of life is still an ongoing research subject. What if it turns out your designer only set up the conditions to allow life, like starting the process that begat our universe and no more interference since then? What then of all religions? That is where the origin of life issue is right now, up for grabs. It is a totally different subject separate from evolution.

Oh no, not another one thinking he's dead right about everything, yet don't know anything about the basics of evolution...

Perhaps you would like a list of exceptional ...[text shortened]... icular order, just leave it there and hope that like matter, it organises itself, wish me well.
Isaac Newton lived in a time when being religious was the norm, also science in general was barely developed compared to current times. But I would not hesistate to call myself much smarter than anyone who believes in intelligent design in modern times, especially if they are educated and had the oppurtunity to learn critical thinking.

yes its almost as bad as those atheists who visit the spirituality forum and proceed to invoke their prejudices, when in Biblical terms, they cannot tell the difference between their bum and their elbow.

Robbie Jay or Kelly Carrobie, perhaps. I didn't find any latin name for them.
I thought they were extinct, only fossils to be found here and there, mostly here...

...as their fundamentalist counterpart who litter the Science Forum with their anti-science beliefs.

You didn't answer my question, why you group evolution and origin of life in the same set? You do realize they are separate issues in the scientific community don't you? Also, it wasn't the 'organic soup', it was the 'primordial soup'. You really should get your recipes rightπŸ™‚

Those fundamentalists don't know anything about evolution, but yet they deny it categorically. Why learn anything that is wrong from the beginning? A waste of time... But they think they know it all anyway.
