This sounds like a great bit of research that would surely help save lives and make cancer surgery a lot less frustrating.
I wonder how many techniques there are for mass analysis? The one I am used to is used on ion implanters, where magnetic fields separate out isotopes and such using a charged beam but the one she uses is totally separate.
