Average =(total timeout - timeout remaining)/(total timeout)

Example
Average = (7-3.5)/7 = 50%
Average = (3-1.5)/3 = 50%

On average, Player X uses 50% percent of his timeout before moving
Are you going to play the user with 64% or 80% used time?

Many times 80% is a faster mover, sometimes they are not. You are still comparing apples and oranges.

64, on average player y uses 64% of his timeout before moving.

Your right, but that was the only mathmatical equation I could figure out that would somewhat work.

Lets throw another number in... average time of play?

On average I play 8 day game, and take 6 to move.

Still, we have a number that says nothing about a 3 day game or 14.

It's tough to figure out a number that means anything for anyone to let them expect moves in their specific game with any given user.

The 64% guy plays all 14 day games... 80 plays all 1 and 3 day games.

Its also complicated by time zones.

I play someone in the UK, that player is more likely to be on when I play. Therefore I see that player moves and therefore I may move 2 or 3 times a night.

I play someone from the American continent. I move he's at work, so 7 hours later he moves. I'm in the land of nod and go off to work, so its 17 hours before I move. This could equate to move a day.

I really dont think any equation will tell you anything. Besides I also tend to play more moves in games which are further into the game. For a bit of continuity and so i dont have to rethink why did I make that move.
