I got a good idea from MoneyMaker's post in the chess forum. http://www.redhotpawn.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=55998

It would be great if people could make themselves available to tutor other people as a feature of the website.

How I think it should work is that a person could elect to make themselves available as a tutor to x number of potential students. When he accepts a person and it satisfies his number of maximum students he would not longer be available for new students.

Much the same as the clan system. You could search tutors that are "recruiting" and you and the tutor would have a private forum, with his other students.

People can only be tutored by one person at a time and can be dismissed from the "studygroup" at any time at the tutor's discretion.

    I like this idea - a lot!

And the good part of it that RHP is ready for it right now! Russ has even to do nothing to make this work! Just for a tutor to create a Clan and use the Clans private forum, recruit the students and, voilà, the Tutor Clan is going! Sign me up! Recruit me!

If the Tutor Clan want to be challanged or challenge others, or not, doesn't matter. It could be the plan for the tutorship but doesn't have to.

    A very good idea, indeed!

    Thanks,

I think if you look in the chess forum at the threads by Bedlam and Dragon Fire you will see that a system like this is needed.

It would be useful to be able to post multiple FEN's per a post and the ability to highlight squares in training games would be welcome 🙂
